Energy Efficiency (E2)

Enviro-Stewards is qualified to conduct NRCan co-funded energy efficiency (E2) assessments at facilities across Canada. This program provides matching funds (up to $5,000) for assessment and quantification of energy conservation opportunities.

E2 measures considered typically include:

   • Boiler efficiency
   • Energy peaking factors
   • Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
   • Lighting
   • Chillers
   • Compressed Air
   • Material Transfer

E2 opportunities are prioritized as follows:

   1. Minimizing Energy Waste (matching the use to the need)
   2. Increasing the Efficiency of Systems and Equipment (such as lighting, heating/cooling, motor, and compression efficiencies)
   3. Optimizing the Energy Supply to the System (such as heat recovery, renewable sources, load shifting and energy purchase arrangements)
